Palacios Seawall
The Palacios’ seawall stretches 3 miles. There are three public boat ramps and lighted jetties and piers for fishing.

Sargent Beach
This beach offers great fishing as well, shelling and bird watching. Sargent Beach is an island bordered to the north by the intercoastal Canal, to the East by the San Bernard and to the West by Mitchell’s Cut. The Beach is protected by an 8 mile wall which protects the Gulf side of the island.

Fishing
The area is well known for record breaking redfish and speckled trout. Great fishing spots can be found all over the area: You can drift fish in East or West Matagorda Bays for speckled trout and redfish. Wade fish in the Gulf of Mexico, or in the shallows of East or West Matagorda Bays. Fishing is great at Oyster Lake, Three Bacon Reef, Cain and Palacios Point.
